It’s been a really rough week, I wasn’t that stressed out, but a lot of uncertainties kinda got to me a bit.

Luckily, my boss told me today that I’m safe. For this round and the next round (supposedly next month) as I wasn’t on the infamous ‘risk list’.

It was a huge relief. I am super grateful that I will still have this job to feed my obsession. However, we all know that redeployment is coming up shortly after this workforce reduction. I seriously hope I’ll get to stay here because I really love this current team I have.

Life is never easy.

Speaking of stress.

It was easier to deal with stress alone this time. I didn’t want to talk to anyone as I didn’t want to pass my frustration on someone else. Even though I kinda expected that I’d be okay with my job, I still had this nerve wrecking feeling.

So introducing my most favorite stress relief technique: the Lord of the Rings

oh yes, before T&T invasion of my life, I was an LOTR dork xD

I watched all 3 extended version of the movies over the weekend, then I moved on to all appendices. Rewatching all these reminded me of why I love this movie so much. It’s the BEST.MOVIE.EVER! With all the hard work that everyone put in. The movie saga itself is cool, but the appendices will make you admire and appreciate it even more. ^^

Now I’m thinking about watching the movie with cast/director & writers/design team/production team’s commentaries.. it’s a routine: movie, appendices, then movie with commentaries (x4) – so basically I’ll get to see the film 5 times LOL

Well, Tono’s DVD came along yesterday, so the commentaries will have to wait a bit this time! XD

Back to 9×80 schedule.

Ever since I got back from my trip in January, it’s been almost impossible to drag my sleepy self off my bed each morning, so I switched back to regular schedule for the past 6 weeks. But I missed my every other Friday off soooooooo much I managed to force myself to get up in the morning again! xD The current 5:30am is quite impressive already, considered it’s dark and cold and my comforter is so warm and comfy.

Let’s see if I can push it to 5am, so I can get off work even sooner! ^^

Especially when they just launched Thai language translator last week LOL

I didn’t even know about it until Flowerypoopoo-san sent me a tinyurl link, saying that he’s so disappointed in my Thai writing skill. And I was like, what? I haven’t typed anything in Thai for ages, except for that one post with A-san, but it’s locked, so no one should be able to read it anyway. So, I confusingly clicked on the link which went straight to my blog, but everything on it was in Thai.

Once I started reading through my entires, I laughed so hard I almost cried as it was soooooo wrong I couldn’t even recall my original entries by reading the translated version! It was THAT friggin’ hilariously bad! xD

My most favorite one was my ‘The Farmer and The Cow’ entry. Once google translated it, it turned into ‘An Agriculture and A Female Rhino’ *dies laughing* Where on earth did this come from?! LOL

Google is still improving this translator (speaking of trying to take the fun right out of it XD), but so far it’s my latest giggling generator. LOL

A very much needed laugh during this stupid time.

Work has been stressful.

The work itself, due to quarterly business plan update, and the current economic situation. At the 4th quarter performance reporting, Boeing not only reported almost a billion dollars loss but also more workforce reduction target. The total of 10,000 positions — 4,500 from BCA, the rest from other divisions of the company.

Anyway, there’s a new rating system they’re using for this reduction. I’m not going to go into details, but basically, employees don’t even know where they rank among others with the same skill code.

Official notice will come out on 2/20, but my little bird told me that the ‘risk list’ will be coming out of Friday the 13th.

It snowed today.

Didn’t stick, but friggin’ cold, which was bad enough.

Anyway, my group has a small pool going on: When will be the last snow day in Puget Sound area for this winter. Being a dork, I picked 3/29 without even thinking, just to have the magic number right next to my name LOL

Hey, as long as it makes me grin every time I look at the whiteboard, this stress relief strategy works! XD

Friday:

climbed on my bed with my laptop, trying to write Kakumei report, and the next thing I knew, it’s 5am. oops, I fell asleep almost on top of my macbook ^^” That’s what happened after spending more than 52 hours at work last week =__=

Saturday:

big huge cooking day at home, in preparation for the SuperBowl. My uncle called and asked whether I wanted to bet. It’s our annual tradition, winning or losing, he’ll pay me anyway. All is good since I’m his favorite niece xD

read a quite confusingly funny (sorta) story – am still confused by it. ^^”

Sunday:

had another haircut, making it the 6th time I went to the salon in the past 4 months. Short hair really requires high maintenance yo! Couldn’t help it, I love my stylist, he’s cute, he’s funny and he’s gay xD

came across one disgusting stupid comment on LJ – it made me so pissed at this fan’s thoughts (not to mention the inappropriateness of posting that kind of rude comments in that post) that I wanted to grab a screw driver and drill it through this person’s skull. A couple times.

SuperBowl.. ugh.. it’s like watching a really good movie with such a terrible ending! #@%*$!^&(#!!! Cardinals defense failed!! Only two and a half minutes dude, WHY?!  T__T

Heroes is back. Can’t wait for Monday night! ^^
