I just have to write about this because I believe it’s not very often in one’s life to get to encounter with a bomb threat! xD
Around 2:30pm today, a suspicious package was found in the men’s restroom near the office area in my building. Eyewitness told us that it looks like a bottle with circuit board with something inside.
Our first thought: Who the heck did this silly thing? Especially with IAM due to strike in less than 12 hours? Definitely stupid. And we wish he/she would get caught.
(It has to be an employee because in order to get inside the building, you need to swipe a badge)
At first, the security guard came in to take a look, he said it’s small and possibly posted no threat. But we took a precaution and taped the area off.
We still talked about it until the police officer came in and told us to leave the office as they’re going to tape our area off too. I grabbed my stuff, walked out, and ran back in to snatch my laptop as I wasn’t sure how long it’s going to last and I didn’t want to wait until midnight either (and it turned out to be a good move).
We sat and waited outside for a while, and then we heard the official evacuation horn blown several from inside the production area. Voila~ The local PD brought in a K9, and got a negative hit, but the package was sitting on top of one very high shelf, so they weren’t sure if their kakkoii German Shepherd sniffed it correctly ^^” They also didn’t want to move the package in case it’s somehow wired.
Sooooo, the King County Bomb Squad had been called in. Wow.
I could have left since 4pm when they first evacuated us, however I wanted to see how things turned out so I told my boss I’d stay until 4:30pm.
Oops.
Around 4:20, our director made an announcement about the situation. Then the lady who’s our safety focal told us to stay put since starting a car might trigger something off because of static.
I ended up staying till 5pm, when our director decided to suspend the building and send everyone home. The bomb squad gave us who parked at the outside parking lot a clear signal to leave. Those who parked inside, could not go to their cars before the bomb squad swipe the entire building which could take a couple more hours.
My boss and my other co-worker had their laptops left at their desk, so they had to hang around to see if the officer could get their computers for them.
I went to dinner with Bonnie, and came home to see the news. The bomb was a fake. Everything is now okay. But it’s going to be a quiet night, since all 2nd shift already left, and 3rd shift will be leaving right at midnight after their contract officially ends.
It was an interesting day and I wish as hell that whoever pulled this stupid prank will get caught.

ORIGINAL POST: 2008.09.04 8:51pm PST
wribbit came up with this idea. We had a talk about this quite a while ago, then last week kiwi made this logo but we didn’t get a chance to push it further.
All of a sudden, T&T 6th anniversary is less than a week away .. oops.. *kicks RL*
I’m pretty sure that most of us will send a card to T&T, individually. But can we pull a group project in less than a week?
Tools – color printer, a pair of scissors, something that look like a stick, digital camera, love for T&T
Idea
- print this logo out (full-size below the pix), cut it along the black circle line, attached it to something like ice cream stick, ruler, spoon, fork, knife, chopsticks, anything.
- Then, you’ll take this I ♥ T&T stick out and take a picture of it with something from where you live, ie landmark, supermarket, attraction point, your apartment building, panda, etc etc. Only one rule applied: No face shot. We don’t want to scare T&T off, do we? ^^”
- Email your photo to us by midnight 9/9/08 (Japan time), along with your short message to T&T (optional).
- Edited: Please send in a LARGE-SIZE photo if possible, keep it big, don’t resize it down~ If you’re going to CROP the photo, make sure you keep standard dimension. The preferred dimension (width:height) is 4:3 or 3:4 depended on how to take your shot. Otherwise, I’ll have to crop you photo to make it fit. Thank you for your understanding~ m(_ _)m
- We’ll compile everything into one gallery and send a link to Takki’s Denpajou and Tsubasa’s To Base emails. Printout will definitely reach JFC after 9/11/08, but oh well ^^”
Can we pull this near impossible project in such a short period of time?
The most important question right now is .. who’s in?
If you’re in, please leave your comment here and let’s pimp this project! Time is running out!

And I realized I forgot to include an email address for this project LOL Please send your picture and message to..
Takitsuba.Anniversary (at) gmail (dot) com
(yes, there’s a (dot) between takitsuba and anniversary xD)
Don’t forget to include your name, where you’re from, and the name of the spot you take picture from (if applicable) in your email.
Thanks everyone! Hope to see photos from you all soon! :)

2 weeks ago, wribbit came up with an idea of scanlating this super cute interview. I simply said YES! LOL So, here we go, proudly presented our first attempt at T&T scanlation~

[T&T scanlations] Poporo 2008.10 (regular version)
download: MF // MU

And I bet some of you are looking forward to this higeless version too! LOL show
Enjoy this lovely interview! ♥
Feel free to direct people to this post. But do not re-post this scanlation elsewhere without our permission.

notes:
I really have to say that this is where being a BL fangirl finally paid off. LOL I was previously in a scanlation group, *coughs*havinganicetimecleaningsmexscenes*coughs* which helped a ton this time! XD
We started off with special page, and I was whining how they place texts on those color backgrounds with diagonal patterns. BWAHAHA!! Silly me, I almost stabbed myself when I reached the first spread with all those fonts on top of fonts on top of their clothes. And *WHACKS* poporo for being so big and didn’t fit wribbit’s scanners!
Third spread was the one that I spent the most time on. I love how Poporo editor(s) used different layers of texts as background to make the texts stand out. It looks nice BUT it’s also a pain in the butt trying to remove those texts!
40+ hours of joining pages, cleaning, and editing was insanely insane, my back hurts, and I feel like I’m having a 2nd full-time job! LOL However, it’s so nice being able to read their interview like this. ^^
Comments are appreciated, otherwise, let’s fangirl! ♥
