OTSUKARESAMA DESHITA!!!
I had a chance (biggest thanks to wribbit and dorothy) to stay up and watch pretty much the entire thing (minus 1 dinner, 2 showers, and 2 naps – the 2nd nap was unexpected because the show was actually longer than 24hours! starting from 2:30am Saturday morning, and ended around 5:30am Sunday morning – I guess that would make a 24-hour show once we take out all commercials XDD) and what else could I say? I was crying like there was no tomorrow almost the entire day.
They’ve raised more than 360million yen last night. And if my memory served me right, they beat last year numbers. Now I’m curious about viewership rating thing.
Takitsuba looked amazingly gorgeous throughout the entire show! while I recalled watching 2006 main personalities *coughs* looked like a pack of zombies after probably the 15th hours. :P Maybe it’s because Takki and Tsubasa are consistently overworking themselves? So being up and alert for 24+++ hours are normal for them? Plus I believe being together is such a great energy source for them ne~ ^__^ sugoi!!

It’s such an incredibly great and touching show ne.
(not in order, just my random thoughts)
show
- Their visuals were perfect!! Takki looks very genki and healthy (thank god), bright and radiant (and not too pale) as ever. Tsubasa had his hair cut and he’s OMG CUTE! (yes! not just cute, it’s OMG CUTE!!! XDD)
- And I love when they looked at each other and smiled~ either directly or when they’re separated, that tiny little bottom right box showed the way they watched each other, which was really sweet. ^_____^
- Following Kin-chan all the way from the beginning pained my heart, seeing how hard he tried. What a fighting spirit in this 66 years old man, he’s been running/walking all day long T__T He could barely walk towards the end, for crying out loud T____T He was behind schedule, so at 8:54pm Japan time, they cut to the commercials *MEANIES*, but thank goodness NTV finally brought us back, live, when Kin-chan had actually reached the budokan. I was in tears. Kin-chan cried before getting inside the budokan because people chanting his name so loud. And when he got inside, he was crying. T____T I was so afraid that he’s going to fall down the stairs with his shaky legs T__T but he finally walked down and crossed the finish line. Kin-chan hugged T&T at the same time! Tsu pulled him a chair to sit on, but Kin-chan chose to stand, maybe afraid he couldn’t get up if he did sit down…
- The Kin-chan picture wall was sugoiiiiii! consisted of 3000+ photos(?) It really was amazing ne~ ^___^
- I think Takitsuba did try so hard to stay composed during the show, they tried not to be emotional, most of the time by putting up their serious faces. Quite a determination ne~ …
- Ikuyo-san’s story from the very beginning was really touching, how she could find that courage to go visit her friends and love ones to say goodbyes without letting them know the truth… with smiles. T____T Akikawa Masafumi who sang the song “Sen no Kaze ni natte” reminded me of Josh Groban, the singer of “To Where You Are” that makes me cry every single time I listen to it. I was sniffing even I didn’t understand the meaning of the song, and when Ling and A-san translated a portion of the song for me, I was weeping non stop (what a great start T___T)
- One of the cutest moments has to be the hot tub, where do-S Tsubasa basically pushed innocent M Takki in and jumped in after him LOL so cute! Did he intentionally push Takki or did he actually lose his balance? xD Anyway, they scrambled out right away. Falling face first, Takki was completely soaking wet. Tsu, on the other hand, was only half wet from his waist down, but the cutest thing was when he shoved some ice into his pants and rubbed his butt! ROFL sooooooo incredibly cute!
- The sp drama was sad, really really sad and touching. The father and son relationship. Their promise. I couldn’t count how many times I cried while watching T_____T just looking at screencaps made me tear up already. When they brought in the boy’s parent to the studio later on Sunday morning and showed us the story about Naoya’s life, I couldn’t stop bawling. He was such an amazing kid na. T__T Takki was incredibly amazing in this drama, he nailed his papa role as well as Kyoko who got the mama role down nicely!! *thumbs up*
- Yuuki no Katachi is such a nice song! The song is really catchy, I love it! And I love how singers got to change the lyrics!! Takki and Tsubasa finally sang their own lines about each other at the end of the show. Oh, and Sarai sounded much better live in the budokan XD when I first heard it during the first promo of the show, the song scared me off a little bit LOL
- Dance Dance Revolution.. no I mean the dance competition was nice too! I really enjoy watching it ^^ They really were amazing na.
- T&T eagerly doing the YMCA dance was so hilarious! especially Tsu! XDD *pinches*
- Tsu in shorts! Tsu in baseball uniform! kyaaaaaaa Tsubasa, how could you be this cute?! *pinches more* too bad she struck him out LOL I love how Takki in the tiny screen watching his aikata with his bright smile ^^
- Takki in kimono! weeeeeheeeee *fangirls* He looked sooooooo good! When those people kept calling him ‘Takki~ Takki~’ and he ran out with those futons, soooo cute!! kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~~
- There was a story, of a very old ojiisan. I missed the first part a little bit, but I think he was separated from his wife(?) during WW2, being captured by Russian(?) as they believed he’s a spy or something. They finally released him after 50+ years and all along, she was waiting for him. The scene at the train station made me cry so hard. They finally got to be together. His wife has passed away, but they’ve got to live happily together for 10 years. T____T The train station scene where they reunion-ed killed me.
- I need another box of kleenex =__=
- Watching the show for more than 24 hours, I really now think that both yellow and red t-shirts look great!, power of forceful marketing LOL edit: and thank goodness I didn’t see them holding the 24hr tv mascot dolls because I didn’t order them! XDD
- Koki and Shoya-kun, the boy with FOP whom he taught how swim last year, their story was touching too. I think his condition is actually getting worse(?), but he looks so strong and lively. Another fighting spirit. T___T And it’s amazing how that Giants dude Abe-san almost got a homerun! It’s like only a few feet short! >__<”" He landed a double instead. Then popped/fouled out the next 2 at-bats.
- Miho-chan(?), the girl who drew those pictures T___T “Tsubasa wo Kudasai” T____T
- My favorite guest was probably Takki’s childhood hero, Inoki-san, who showed up and slapped both Takki and Tsubasa to ground. Ouch, being an M, Takki was probably used to this by now but let me look at the princess’ cheek! it was a very loud slap +__+ They’re both so cute, eagerly bowing and bowing and bowing to Inoki-san. A-san said Takki is definitely an M, he was all happy and smiling after being slapped XDD (actually both of them looked very happy, maybe they needed that to stay awake?! LOL)
- Save the best for last, the moment where their lives changed, followed by a letter from Tsubasa to Takki. I’ve been waiting all day/night for this moment. Both Ling and A-san told me to be realistic as there wouldn’t be one for them, but I was stubborn and kept on hoping (and whining every single time where the letter reading wasn’t theirs). Kamisama finally granted my wish! That too super short video was interesting, but I forgot it all once Tsu started reading his letter. *hugs Tsubasa* He had been successfully fighting his tears throughout the show, so when he paused his reading and teared up, I cried my eyeballs out. I saw Takki looked his way and started leaning towards him when Tsubasa gathered himself and finished reading his letter with a bullet train speed. I think he probably couldn’t make it through had he not read it all in one go like that ne. I’m pretty sure Takki was trying so hard not to let anyone see his emotions. It was so touching. So much love and caring thoughts between them. *sniffs*
Thank you NTV for giving T&T a shot at the main personality roles.
