The Futurist

Well. I’ve been obsessed with this album for the past 2 months. And by obsessed, I mean I fall asleep to it every night. Which is a pretty bad habit considering how I like to sleep in a quiet place. I normally turn everything off before I climb into my bed. I adore silent night. *lol*

Then this thing happened. ↓

The album came out in November 2004. I downloaded it in June 2012. Eight years late, NBD. *lol*

I was like, I LOVE RDJ SO HARD I WILL DEFINITELY LOVE THIS ALBUM, then my first listen came and I was like WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?! *lolz*

The whole thing is just SO WEIRD! I don’t even know what genre it is. I didn’t listen to it again until a few weeks later when I started listening to the lyrics. It’s so… poetic. DEEP POETIC. AND WEIRD. Listening to it was almost like making me read Hamlet or something along that line. XD

Once I got passed some unexpected grunts, I realized, I really like his voice. Besides unique sounds, it has a calming effect that I desperately needed on a regular basis lately. I listen to this album at work so I can tune my boss out before I start throwing things. It works.

I think I’m addicted to his voice. Just like when I was obsessed with Viggo Mortensen back in LOTR-craze days of my life. I listened to his CD Pandemoniumfromamerica (yes, that’s the actual album title *lol*) repeatedly for months.

Plus, RDJ plays piano, end of story. *lol* #PianistObsession

Anyway, worst non-review ever. *lol* Gotta go listen to my bedtime music now. Give this album a try if you’re looking for something different. I hope you fall in love with it like I did! ♥
