2010 Tulip Festival
aka sisters day out 2.0!

2010.04.11
My sister and I went to 2010 Tulip Festival at Skagit Valley on Sunday. We’re super lucky because the weather was super nice. The fields and RoozenGaarde were really pretty. We spent 5 hours there, taking pictures without realizing the time (but I was starving to death at one point).
Tulips are happy flowers but they’re soooooooo hard to take pictures! When it’s alone by itself, it looks awkward. When there’s a ton of them together, they’re so overwhelming! lol
some photos behind cut!
didn’t want to pay for parking, so I took this shot from the car lol the orange field looks so much like pumpkin army!

Gander Rhapsody field is my favorite!

what a lovely color ^^

(limping in the office today because of all these stretching in weird angles *lol*)

lucky shot~

sisters!

yet another lucky shot!

this is me, taking the above picture!

After this, we went to a very late lunch at Seattle Premium Outlet, walking around for almost 2 hours, DID NOT BUY A THING OMG HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?! I think we’re both too tired to enjoy shopping. So we dragged our feet away from the outlet, heading for Old School Frozen Custard in Seattle instead. *lol*
My sister’s friend recommended this place, said it’s the best ice cream ever. We thought it tasted just like McDonald’s $1 Hot Fudge Sundae *lol* well, maybe a bit thicker, but yeah.. ;)
In short: exhausting but amazing day!

Thank you, Glenda! I’m glad you like them~ and I love your fangirl eyes! but should I start whining re: unit release now? when will it be? :(
btw there’s a Mexican dude with a bright orange flag chasing people out of the fields, so we had to run in and out for those shots~ xD

I love your pictures!!! I took some flower pictures at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center a week or so ago but I haven’t gotten around to posting them on fb ^^; all the rain this year has produced a BUNCH of Bluebonnets and Indian Paint Brushes (Bluebonnets and Indian Paint Brushes are my favorite combo cuz it’s blue and pink) =)

Thank you! I think the weird weather messed up the blooming schedule for most flowers lol and hai hai, pink and blue is an awesome combi ;)
